After practicing Pilates for many years as a physical practice to strengthen the core for surfing, Deborah decided to share her knowledge and passion for Pilates with others by training to be an instructor with HFE and BASI. Learning about the transformative and healing exercises that Joseph Pilates founded, Deborah connects these with motivational music to assist muscle lengthening and strengthening, injury recovery, postural correction, as well as relaxing and calming the mind, using breathing to soothe and heal. Deborah’s classes focus on the pilates principles of breathing, concentration, coordination, precision, and flow, providing dynamic pilates sessions which bring energy and joy.
Francesca has been active in sports and dance since her childhood in Italy, ranging from ballet to volleyball. When she moved to London in the early '90s, she took up weight training at the gym, where she first discovered yoga and Pilates. Initially, she was drawn to yoga and practiced it for over 25 years. However, after the birth of her first child, she suffered from severe sciatica that left her on crutches for a month. Her acupuncturist suggested Pilates; the pain vanished, and she finally felt like herself again! Francesca became so passionate about the practice that she decided to train as an instructor, and here she is!
