Body Psychotherapy with Luke Tanner
Luke's inspiration emerges from his experience living in a Buddhist monastery, his insights into the Human Potential Movement, his engagement with embodied pedagogies and many precious hours spent in the company of very old people.
In his practice, Luke draws upon his extensive training in body-oriented therapies, biodynamic massage, mindfulness, humanistic psychotherapy, as well as his studies in attachment theory and interpersonal neurobiology.
Aside from running his own psychotherapy practice, Luke trains healthcare professionals working with people with a cognitive impairment in touch, non-verbal communication, attachment theory, trauma and Person-Centred Psychology. He is the author of 'Embracing Touch in Dementia Care. A Person Centred Approach to Touch and Relationships', published by Jessica Kingsley Publishing. Luke also provides counselling to young people in Hackney schools and trains teachers throughout London in staff & student wellbeing.
