Kate had a nasty back injury in 2003 which didn't resolve and spiralled into a 10 year history of low back pain. She saw all sorts of healthcare practitioners but it was an osteopath that eventually helped her get out of pain and back doing the activities that mattered to her. She was so inspired by their approach, which addressed not only the physical factors that were contributing to her pain but also the psychological factors, that she decided that osteopathy was the career for her.
Kate was looking for an open-minded clinic that could offer the time and space for discussions and mentoring, something that is not widely offered to new graduates. She feels that everyone wins: patients receive affordable treatments in a caring, positive space and graduates are offered a structured Graduate Learning Programme with continual mentoring.
Kate practices at Core Clapton as an Osteopath on Thursdays.
