This is a unique opportunity to develop in a supportive environment where you will receive regular tutorials on clinical case management, close mentoring by the Director and senior osteopaths, and the chance to take part in the Graduate-Learning Programme alongside the volunteers but with a stable salary. The starting salary is equivalent to a Band 5 physiotherapist and after your first year at Core this will increase in accordance with the Agenda for Change pay scale of the NHS. As an Associate Osteopath at Core Clapton you will be a brand ambassador not just for the charity but for the profession as a whole, helping to promote osteopathy to the local community and help.
As well as managing your patient caseload you will also be expected to help drive an increase in the volume of local residents visiting the centre to benefit from the facilities and services that we offer. You will play a key role in the charity’s research and data-gathering objectives. This will take the form of project managing a research study from start to finish as well as collecting outcome measures from your patients and helping the senior osteopaths to collate these into presentable formats for dissemination. You will be lead author on at least one study every 2-year cycle. You will nurture existing relationships with local residents and community groups, GP surgeries, housing trusts, the Council and other relevant organisations. You will build new relationships as appropriate, aiming to promote the services available at Core Clapton in order to increase visitors to the centre.
You will also assist the marketing team in producing content for social media and develop targeted engagement campaigns to recruit new visitorsThese campaigns will focus on specific socio-demographic groups, such as the elderly, BAME, expectant mothers etc, to increase awareness of Core Clapton in the local community.
