After practicing Pilates for many years as a physical practice to strengthen the core for surfing, Deborah decided to share her knowledge and passion for Pilates with others by training to be an instructor with HFE and BASI. Learning about the transformative and healing exercises that Joseph Pilates founded, Deborah connects these with motivational music to assist muscle lengthening and strengthening, injury recovery, postural correction, as well as relaxing and calming the mind, using breathing to soothe and heal. Deborah’s classes focus on the pilates principles of breathing, concentration, coordination, precision, and flow, providing dynamic pilates sessions which bring energy and joy.
